Our Quran Journey: From Qaida to Hifz
At Quran Scholars Academy, we guide children step by step from the very beginning of reading Arabic to confident Qur’an recitation and Hifz. We start with letters and sounds, then words and ayahs, then fluent reading with tajweed, and finally memorisation for those who are ready. Each stage is gentle, structured, and designed to build love for the Qur’an as well as skill.
Step 1 – Qaida: Strong Foundations
The Qaida stage is where everything begins. Children learn the basics of reading Arabic in a clear, simple way.
- All Arabic letters and their correct sounds
- How to join letters into simple words
- How to read basic vowels and signs
A strong Qaida means your child will find reading the Qur’an much easier and more enjoyable.
Step 2 – Qur’an Reading with Tajweed
Once Qaida is complete, children start reading directly from the Qur’an.
- Clear, slow reading with correct pronunciation
- Applying basic tajweed rules in real recitation
- Building confidence and fluency, line by line
Teachers listen to each child, correct mistakes kindly, and encourage a beautiful recitation style they can carry for life, inshaAllah.
Step 3 & 4 – Deeper Tajweed and Hifz
As reading becomes fluent, we go deeper into tajweed and understanding, then offer Hifz for students who are ready.
- Learning more detailed tajweed rules in a simple way
- Understanding basic meanings of common surahs
- Following a structured Hifz plan with daily new lesson and revision
We focus on quality over speed, with regular feedback to parents, so children build a strong, lasting connection with the Qur’an.
